[2] After a long hiatus of one and a half years, the in-person classes at Dhaka University resumed yesterday, report banglan-ews24.com, Jago News.
[3] On the first day of resumption, slogans and counter slogans sparked an aggressive face-off between activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD). However, no untoward incident was reported.
[4] According to the eyewitnesses, the leaders and activists of BCL entered Madhur Canteen from different student dormitories of the university and began to chant slogans.Around 9:30am, the leaders and activists of the JCD entered the canteen and began to chant slogans and counter-slogans. The leaders including the DU chapter Secretary of BCL remained present at that time.
[5] On the other hand, JCD central committee president Fazlur Rahman Khokon and leaders of Dhaka University chapter also remained present at that time.
