When it comes to river pollution, one name that instantly crops up in our mind is Buriganga, reports Sarabangla.
According to scientific research, the river is in the healthiest state in the last three years.
The experts are of the opinion that the ongoing restrictions over the coronavirus is the reason behind the healthy state.
According to them, the industries which are responsible for river pollution have remained shut down due to the restrictions. As a result, the level of river pollution has fallen. Moreover, the movement of vessels has also reduced due to the restrictions. This also contributed to the less pollution of the river. Above all, the rainy season has its effect on Buriganga River.
