DOT Desk: [3] A Dhaka court yesterday sent BNP central executive committee member Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury to jail on the completion of her three-day remand in a case filed for plotting subversive activities, including torching passenger buses.
[4] Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masud Ur Rahman passed the order, scrapping a bail plea filed for the BNP leader, reports BSS. [5] A Dhaka court on March 29 placed Nipun Roy Chowdhury on three-day remand in the case as Hazaribagh police produced her before the court and pleaded to place her on seven-day remand.
[6] Meanwhile, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed that the audio conversation of Nipun Roy Chowdhury’s order to set fire on cars is fabricated, reports Observer. He made the claim at a virtual press conference yesterday at 4.00 pm.
