 Work on the government’s mega-projects continues despite stringent restrictions on corona transmission. Nothing was said about stopping these constructions in the instructions given by the cabinet department.  This information has been known to talk with the concerned.The project managers said that although the pace of work of mega projects slowed down due to corona at the beginning of last year, the picture is different this time. Work in progress.  However, they also said that everyone is working in accordance with the health rules in these projects.
Meanwhile, sources in the Prime Minister’s Office said that the instructions given at the meeting of the Fast Track Monitoring Task Force held at the Prime Minister’s Office on June 25 last year to keep the pace of work of the projects normal are still in force. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself is monitoring these projects. The government wants the project to be completed on time.  Important mega projects are- Padma Multipurpose Bridge Construction Project, Padma Bridge Rail Link Project, Metrorail Project, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Construction Project, Singhale Line Dual Gauge Track Construction Project from Dohazari-Ramu to Cox’s Bazar and Ramu to Ghumdhum Border, Matarbari 1200 Construction. Asked about this, Executive Engineer of Padma Multipurpose Bridge Construction Project Abdul Quader said the project is being carried out following the hygiene rules with the aim of completing the work within the stipulated time. The workers are also following all the rules.
