 The prime accused involved with vandalizing Bangabandhu’s mural was arrested with narcotics and arms, reports Bangla Tribune.The arrestee was identified as Md Arman Alif, 22. A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) apprehended Arman from Bishwa Road area under Brahmanbaria Sadar at 7:30pm on Sunday.
 On March 28, Bangabandhu’s mural at Bangabandhu Square of Brahmanbaria city was vandalized during the strike announced by radical Islamist outfit Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh.
 On behalf of the Rab-14, the arrestee was produced before the journalists through a press briefing at Brahmanbaria Press Club yesterday.
 Rab-14 Bhairab Camp Company Commander Lt Col Abu Nayeem Md Talat said that the people involved with the vandalism were identified through video footage and secret information.
 The protesters also attacked BGB members in front of the deputy commissioner’s residence. Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets.
At least 15 others were reportedly injured, said police sources.
