 Yesterday, the Jahangirnagr University hall provosts conducted a drive in their dormitories and asked the students to leave the campus right away, reports The Daily Star.
 At the time, Prof Sohel Ahmed, provost of Shaheed Rafiq-Jabbar hall, said “Students have been asked to leave the hall as per the decision of the top policy makers of the government. I have come to remind them that the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet.”
 “We have no disputes with the students. We think of their well-being. We don’t want any harassment from them. We are telling them to leave the hall. That would be beneficial in this situation”, she added. Meanwhile, Dhaka University (DU) students have issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the authorities concerned for reopening of all the dormitories on March 1, reports observerbd.com.
 The demonstrating students made the announcement from a sit-in programme on the campus around 3:30pm yesterday.
 They urged the government to review the decision on reopening the university dormitories on May 17.
 Earlier, Educational Minister Dipu Moni at an emergency press conference informed that the government has decided to reopen public universities on May 24 dormitories on May 17.
