2) Two organizations called ‘Men’s Rights Foundation’ and ‘National Men’s Organization’ have organized human chain and procession in the capital demanding protection of men, law and establishment of the Ministry of Men’s Affairs, reports somoynews.tv. 3) On the occasion of ‘International Men’s Day’, a separate program was made by Bangladesh Men’s Rights Foundation and National Men’s Organization in the National Press Club area of the capital yesterday, reports Prothom Alo. 4) Taking part in the program, the speakers claimed that although there is a legal protection system for women in the country, it is not available for men. Men are being physically and mentally abused at home and abroad. 5) The speakers said that they failed to highlight the inequalities as there was no law and ministry for men. 6) So they made various demands including the Male Violence Act, the Ministry of Men’s Affairs and they demanded a timely anti-gender violence suppression law by stopping the abuse of the Violence Against Women Act.
7) Later, the leaders and activists of the ‘National Men’s Organization’ celebrated International Men’s Day by flying balloons. In many countries of the world, November 19 is celebrated as ‘International Men’s Day’ every year.
