Different Islamic parties will stage protests and bring out protest processions across the country including the capital condemning the recent republication of French cartoons insulting the Prophet Muhammad, reported Kaler Kantho.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish announced the protest programmes across the country.
Meanwhile, the top leaders of the Islamic parties urged the Muslims to boycott all the products made in France.
After issuing a media release yesterday, the party’s president Ismail Nurpuri and acting secretary general Mamunul Haque urged all to make the protest programme a success.
Earlier this year, Charlie Hebdo, a left-wing French satirical magazine infamous for publishing anti-Islamic caricatures which have drawn widespread anger and outrage across the Muslim world, republished cartoons insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad.
The caricatures were first published in 2006 by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, sparking a wave of protests.
