 Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque said the verdict in the Rifat murder case would affect other high-profile cases in the country, which would speed up the settlement. He said the verdict would undoubtedly play an important role in establishing the rule of law.
 Anisul Haque made the remarks yesterday (September 30th) in response to the verdict in the notorious Rifat murder case.
 The law minister said, “I am trying to fulfill the responsibility given to me by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through the disposal of these sensational cases. In particular, the prosecution team is taking a serious role in these cases, which certainly deserves appreciation”.
 Regarding the verdict in the Rifat murder case, Law Minister Anisul Haque said, “The court has given its verdict on the basis of evidence. I have nothing to comment on here. It would not be right to say anything without reading the copy of the verdict. From the overall review of the verdict, I can say that it will definitely have a positive impact on the judiciary”.
