 Refat’s father Abdul Halim Dulal Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the execution of six accused, including his daughter-in-law Ayesha Siddique Minni, in the much-discussed Refat Sharif murder case in Barguna, reports somoynews.tv.  He made the remarks in an immediate response to the verdict yesterday noon. After the verdict was announced, Refat’s father said, “My family and I are very happy with the verdict. I thank Almighty Allah. All concerned have sincerely worked with the case. That is why I would like to extend my thanks to everyone on behalf of me and my family,” reports Jago News.  On the other hand, Minni’s father Md. Mozammel Hossain Kishore expressed dissatisfaction with the order o hang 6 people. Dissatisfied with the verdict, Minni’s father Kishore said, “We were respectful of the law. But Minni has been wronged. We will go to the high court.”
Minni’s lawyer Mahbubul Bari Aslam said, “The verdict is to be accepted. We have accepted this verdict, but we are upset. We will go to the high court. I hope Minni will be acquitted in the high court.”
Meanwhile, Barguna District and Sessions Judge’s Court Public Prosecutor Bhuban Chandra Halder said, “We are happy with the verdict. Criminals cannot be spared if they kill anyone and it has been proven through the verdict.”
Ayesha Siddika Minni and five others — Rakibul Hasan alias Rifat Farazi, Abdul Kaiyum alias Rabbi Akon, Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, Rezwanul Khan alias Tiktok Ridoy and Md Hasan — were sentenced to death in Rifat Sharif murder case.
