The Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) has arrested nine members of the bKash hacker ring in raids across the country, including the capital, reports rtvonline.com. According to the DB, the accused used to buy the page of the cash-in register of the bKash agent from their source and mislead them by hacking their phones with the money, reports Sara Bangla. DMP Additional Commissioner of Police (DB) AKM Hafeez Akter said this at a press conference at DMP’s media center yesterday noon. He said one of the detainees was cleverly taking pictures of pages with cash-in register numbers in various development stores. Then he would send it to the main hackers in Dumain village of Madhukhali police station in Faridpur through WhatsApp. He used to sell each page with number for 200-300 rupees. The original hackers used to see the number and call the victim by pretending as the shopkeeper of bKash, from the SIMs of different operators.
and say that he send money to the victim’s number mistakenly. Victim’s account has been temporarily closed following his complaint and he will be called from the development office.
