PM Hasina vows to do more better things ahead for countrymen on her 74th birthday

 While having cabinet members wishes on her 74th birthday at the regular weekly meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “It was very tough to work for country after returning home losing father, mother, brothers and everything. Despite the fact, I’m thinking that I would have to do something better more for the country people before leaving the state power for whom my father had very much love”, reports BSS.  The meeting was chaired by the premier from her official residence Ganabhaban and cabinet members joined it from the cabinet division at Bangladesh Secretariat through a videoconference, reports UNB.  Sheikh Hasina on her 74th birthday sought blessings from country people, “I seek doa from all so that as long as I remain alive, I could live with dignity.”
and the people of Bangladesh get benefit from my living. I also wish wellbeing of the countrymen.”
Referring to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s desire that the people of Bangladesh would move around the world keeping their head high, she said, “We know Bangabandhu’s desire from our childhood, and for that reason, I have been trying my best to materialise his dream to make the country as a ‘Sonar Bangladesh’ as its people can move in the world stage keeping their head high.”
The prime minister thanked all her cabinet colleagues for their support for taking Bangladesh forward towards the development and prosperity.
Turning to the COVID-19 onslaught on people’s economy and livelihood, she said, “We could have done much works, had coronavirus not appeared. The people of Bangladesh have much strength to overcome whatever hurdles come in their path of prosperity”, reports The UNB.
At the outset of the meeting, the premier expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, saying, “We have taken an obituary motion in his death on behalf of the cabinet. The death of Mahbubey Alam is a huge loss for nation as he dealt with many critical cases successfully with his patience, wisdom, knowledge and intellects after facing various hurdles as the country passed tough time in the last few years.”
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
