Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will brief media in details in this regard today, reports Jago News.
She said, “A technical committee of Education Ministry is working to make a proposal on how to reopen all educational institutions and hold HSC examinations. We will take decisions based on the proposals of the committee and in consultation with the Health Ministry respectively,” reports The Business Standard.
The minister came up with the remark in a programme at International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka yesterday.
Earlier on September 24, the education boards said they are ready to hold the examinations maintaining health guidelines, and need 15 days to make the arrangements.
About 13 lakh students were expected to sit for the HSC and equivalent examinations that were scheduled to start from April 1.
The examinations were supposed to be held at over 9,000 educational institutions under 11 education boards — nine general, one madrasa and one technical education board.
However, all educational institutions have been closed from March 17 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The HSC and equivalent examinations were also postponed for the same reason on March 22. The institutions will remain closed till October 3.
