 Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has called for avoiding the attitude of occupying roads and sidewalks.
He said, many people occupy sidewalks and keep their belongings.
They build a huge building but their belongings are lying on the sidewalk, of a road. Try to come out of this attitude. Otherwise illegal establishments will be demolished.
Yesterday he said this at a function organized by DNCC on the occasion of Prime Minister’s 74th birthday. On the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 74th birthday, DNCC organized a drawing competition at Justice Sahabuddin Ahmed Park in Gulshan.
At the same time, two mobile libraries ‘Parampara’ were also officially inaugurated, reports Jago News 24.com.  Atiqul Islam said, Prime Minister prefers children and working people the most.
The children of the DNCC cleaners, took part in the drawing competition.  Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Tajul Islam, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, Member of Parliament and cultural personality Asaduzzaman Nur and many more were present during that time.
