 Charges have been framed against 25 accused in the murder case of BUET student Abrar Fahad. The trial of the case started yesterday.  Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 Judge Abu Zafar Kamruzzaman ordered the formation of charges against the accused.  Prosecutor Mosharraf Hossain Kajal said a total of three charges had been filed against the accused. These include inter alia charge of homicide under section 302.  “Before the murder, the accused planned to interrogate and kill Abrar, one accused instigated, after incitement they met, later he was actually called from Abrar’s house, his mobile phone was checked and at one stage he was beaten”, said Mosharraf Hossain Kajal, reports BBC.  “The most important issue in this case was the formation of charges. The charges have been heard in the last two days. Twenty-two accused have been heard. State lawyers have been appointed for the three fugitives. The charges were framed today after the hearing”, the report further reads.
 Testimony will continue on all working days from September 20 to October 1.
 Meanwhile, the lawyer of the accused, Farooq Ahmed, said that the sections under which the allegations were made in the chargesheet of the investigating officer have been kept. He further said the date of the incident was mentioned in the chargesheet from October 6, 2019 to October 9, but the date of the incident has been mentioned in the FIR was from October 4, 2019.
Due to this, they will file a criminal revision case in the high court.
