 Commerce Mini-ster Tipu Munshi said that Japan’s famous Mitsubishi and India’s Tata are considering about setting up car factories in Bangladesh. He made the remarks while exchanging views with Swiss Ambassador Nathalie Chuard, appointed in Bangladesh at the secretariat’s office room yesterday. Under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, setting up of 100 special economic zones in different parts of the country is progressing fast. Half of them are almost close to completion. Various countries including Japan, India, China and Korea have come forward to make large investments in these, reports Daily Bangladesh.  Mentioning that Bangladesh is providing attractive facilities for investors in various fields including tax and he also said, Bangladesh can be a lucrative investment destination for Switzerland.
About 83% of Bangladesh’s export earnings come from the readymade garments sector. To increase the number of products in the export sector, the government has given special importance to the agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, leather products, ICT, jute products sector. Bangladesh has a lot of skilled manpower. Switzerland can use it if it wants.
