Mobile operators are allegedly deceiving clients in multifarious ways by introducing various internet packages without taking consent of the clients, reports Ittefaq. According to Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the mobile operators cannot start any package without the consent of the clients, which would be a violation of the rules. Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar told Daily Ittefaque that it’s a grave offence but affected clients do not file any complaint. Such complaints are seen on Facebook status by the affected people. Head of Corporate Affairs of mobile operator Rabi Sahed Alam told the daily his company introduced different internet packages with the BRTC’s approval. Grameen Phone Head of External Communications Mohammad Hassan claimed Grameen Phone strictly abides by the BTRC rules in giving service to its clients.
