As a source of light the value of kerosene is running out. Even other uses of this fuel oil are declining day by day. As per the promise of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the use of kerosene is about to disappear as electricity is reaching households. Such a picture has also come up in the survey of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). The report titled ‘Report on Bangladesh Sample Vital Statistics-2019’ prepared by the organization, while highlighting the characteristics of the family, said that electricity is now playing a major role as a source of light for families.
About 94 percent of the country’s households are now using electric lights, reports Sarabanlga.net. AKM Ashraful Haque, director of the Monitoring the Situation of Vital Statistics of Bangladesh (MSVSB) (Phase III) project said, One of the slogans of the government is ‘Prime Minister’s initiative, electricity should be in every house’. It is now proven that it is not limited to slogans. The real picture of it has also come up in our survey.
