 All activities at the passport offices were suspended after the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country. Only reissue activities continued, albeit at a slow pace, reports Sarabangla.Meanwhile, the authorities have decided to resume the function.
 If everything goes accordingly, the passport issuing activities are likely to resume from the first week of September at all the offices including Agargaon.
 According to the Passport Department, the application and supply of passports were suspended from March 20.
The police verification also remained suspended meantime.
 Therefore, the people suffered immensely in the last few months.
 Wishing anonymity, an official of the Passport Department said that the staffers performed their duties in shifts in the last five/six months.
 An official of Rangpur Regional Passport Office said that they have heard that the passport activities may resume from September.
