DOT Desk:  India reported over 60,000 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, while the Australian state of Victoria recorded its deadliest day of the pandemic although new infections have gradually slowed down.  Sri Lanka on Monday fully reopened schools after keeping them closed for over four months due to the lockdown imposed in the country to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The move to reopen schools has been taken in the wake of the country sucessfully curbing the comunity spread of the coronavirus, they said. Sri Lanka has not witnessed a single community case since April 30.  Iran shut down a newspaper on Monday after it quoted a former member of the national coronavirus taskforce as saying the country’s tolls from the epidemic could be 20 times higher than official figures, state news agency IRNA reported. “The Jahan-e Sanat newspaper was shut down today for publishing an interview on Sunday,” the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Mohammadreza Saadi, told IRNA.
