 The postmortem report of slain Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan of Bangladesh Army has been submitted to Rapid Action Batallion (RAB)-15.
Cox’s Bazar Police Super submitted the report yesterday through the Cox’s Bazar Civil Surgeon. [4 ] Reliable sources said the postmortem report reveals that Sinha was shot dead from point-blank range. Three shots were fired at him. Three bullets pierced through his body. Because of it, marks of six bullets were found on the body. “He died of excessive bleeding.”
 One of the three bullets pierced the left side of his chest, one in the centre of the chest and the other on his left hand, the report cited. It was mentioned in the postmortem report that there were marks of injury on different parts of Sinha’s body including throat and hands.
 “The government is also embarrassed over the killing of Major (Retd) Sinha in police firing. His killing was very unfortunate. The government also felt pain at his brutal killing. However, a fair investigation into the killing is going on. All the culprits involved in Major Sinha’s killing will be brought to justice and given appropriate punishment,” said Awami League joint general secretary Mabub ul Alam Hanif while talking to journalists after inaugurating a newly-built mural of Bangabandhu at Kushtia Government College ground yesterday.
 Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif has also said that strict punishment will be ensured for the perpetrators of Major Sinha’s murder.
