Top yaba trader was killed in a gunfight with police in Naikhyangchhari

 Police claim the man killed in the gunfight was a top yaba trader and a godfather of the terrorist group. Naikhyangchhari Police Station OC Muhammad Alamgir Hossain confirmed the information and said two policemen, including a police officer, were injured in the incident.  The deceased has been identified as Rohingya Shah Alam (45), son of Kalo Mia (45) of Block 6 of Rohingya CampPolice said the dead man was an identified drug dealer and the godfather of an organized terrorist group. There are several cases against him in different police stations on numerous charges including drug dealing. OC Muhammad Alamgir Hossain said the injured person was rescued and brought to Naikhyangchhari Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty at the hospital later declared the man dead.
The OC added that the deceased was identified as a drug dealer and the godfather of the organized group. There are several cases against him on various charges including drug dealing. The body of the deceased has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy. OC Muhammad Alamgir Hossain has confirmed the poisoning of a murder case, an arms case and a drug case against the fugitives including the deceased at Naikhyangchhari police station.
Bandarban Superintendent of Police Jerin Akhter and Lama Circle Rezwanul Islam are supervising and directing the anti-drug drive in Naikhyangchhari, said OC Muhammad Alamgir Hossain.
