Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam said that no extortion and hooliganism will be tolerated at the cattle markets, reports Kaler Kantho, Jago News. The Mayor sounded the warning while visiting a makeshift cattle market at Mostul Dumni area in the city yesterday. The Mayor also talked the cattle traders and buyers and advised all to follow health regulations.
After visiting the cattle market, the Mayor talked to the media.
“This time Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated amid the coronavirus situation. We will have to sacrifice animals tackling the infectious disease. This is challenging. We have said that some have come to the cattle markets along with their children. The cattle traders said that they will not sell animals if the masks are not worn by the buyers. We should thank them,” the Mayor said.
