 10 leaders and activists of Left Democratic Party had been arrested in Rangpur. Keeping special emergency allocations in the budget, establishment of PCR lab, police have arrested 10 leaders and activists of the progressive student alliance for forming a human chain and demanding 5 points including the resignation of the health minister who failed to prevent coronavirus sitaution.
 It has been informed via eyewitnesses and progressive student alliances that police snatched the banner when activists stood with banner festoons in front of the Rangpur Press Club at 12:30 pm on Sunday and flogged the leaders and workers who took part in the human chain.
 At that time Abdul Quddus, student union leader Nahid, Bishal, student front’s Kallol, police arrested 10 leaders and activists including Shubho and took them to the police station.  Kotwali Police Station’s OC Abdur Rashid said During the Covid-19 period, some zealots were arrested for creating chaos in the name of human chain to obscure the political situation in the country.
