Bankers Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB) made the claim in a statement issued yesterday. BWAB President Kazi MD Shafiqur Rahman said in the statement that two-thirds of the private commercial banks had recently made inhumane decisions to force their senior executives, who have been serving the bank for 15-20 years, to submit their resignations amid the pandemic, reports Mzamin.
The organization has filed a complaint against several private commercial banks, and called on banks to move away from such decisions. Some bank officials who have been victims of such situations have expressed their helplessness to BWAB.
These officers have served with sincerity in their long careers and have contributed to the growth, as well as development of the banks.
