DOT Desk:  The death toll from coronavirus in Bangladesh has crossed the 300 mark to reach 314 with 16 new deaths in the last 24 hours till today. During the period, 930 new Covid-19 cases were detected to take the tally to 20,995, reports Somoy TV News.
 Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the disclosure in the daily online health bulletin at the Management Information System (MIS) in the afternoon. She said 235 more patients recovered from Covid-19 disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of people making recovery to 4,117. Prof Nasima said 6,782 were tested in 33 labs across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 167,114 samples have so far been tested in the country. Yesterday, Bangladesh reported 15 deaths from coronavirus and highest 1,202 cases.
 Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has stood at 308,642 as of today morning. It has so far infected 4,628,228 people around the world, according to Worldometer. Of the currently infected 2,561,554 patients, 2,516,549 are in mild condition, which is 98 percent, while 45,005 or 2 percent are in serious condition. So far, 1,758,032 people have recovered from Covid-19. The US is the hardest-hit country with the highest number of infections and deaths at 1,484,285 and 88,507 respectively. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11. The coronavirus is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
