 A mild heat wave is now sweeping over the Rajshahi region. The pathghat has become hot with the heat of the sun. Inside, people are running in need. And the house is very hot. People are getting frustrated when the power goes out.  The Rajshahi Meteorological Office said the maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 37 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in the morning was 24.2 degrees Celsius. When the maximum temperature is between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius, it is called mild heat.  Debal Kumar Maitra, a senior observer at the Meteorological Office, said mild heat had been raging in Rajshahi for the past few days.
The highest temperature ever recorded on Sunday was 37 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature that day was 26 degrees Celsius. Humidity was 96 percent on Tuesday morning. However, at 3 o’clock the humidity dropped to 48 percent.
 The last Kalbaishakhi and hailstorm occurred in Rajshahi from the afternoon to evening of May 7. This is the second rainfall of the season. Rainfall of 23.2 mm was recorded that day. After that there was no more rain or storm. As a result, the temperature is rising little by little every day. The meteorological office says it will continue.
