 People are not leaving the house. Nobody is coming out except for the journalists, law enforcement, a few shopkeepers and some low-income people. The city’s commotion is so exceptional than other days
 To prevent the transmission of corona virus chittagong train and bus services are shut down due to the silence around the city. Workers from various voluntary organizations are spraying disinfectants on various transportation to prevent coronavirus infection.  Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said the Chittagong City Corporation has been running sprinkling water with antibacterial bleaching powder in all the roads, markets, court buildings and public places of the city wards to prevent the spread and transmission of the Corona virus.
 Corona Prevention Committee has been constituted in each ward under the direction of the Health Ministry.
In addition to patrolling the city’s streets, alley-lanes, members of the army are assisting in the work of vigilant mining and civil administration.
Most shops closed after receiving strict instructions from the Chittagong District Administration.
Chittagong District Administration Executive Magistrate Md. Touhidul Islam said if anyone came out without any urgent need on the road, he would be sent back home.
He said that the army was working in the field under the leadership of the Upazila Executive Officers (UNO) and the executive magistrates in the city.
The army is ensuring that more people can not be mobilized in different parts of the city, and that people who are in urgent need to walk a certain distance.
