The Health Ministry’s order stipulated that the army or the police station officer-in-charge (OC) was to be informed if someone was denied treatment. On the other hand, the letter from the Department of Health directs that the first treatment of individual’s showing symptoms of coronavirus should be done without personal protective equipment (PPE), reports Prothom Alo. Upon the dissatisfaction of physicians, the two orders were cancelled on Wednesday night. Due to the outbreak , general public hospitals, emergency services are not admitting new patients, nor are the previously admitted patients being released.
Due to this deprivation of healthcare, huge potential pitfalls are in the making. The revised new notice directs all to ensure appropriate action.
