 From yesterday morning, the army members officially started the patrol on the Chittagong road. They were working in the field as per the decision of the meeting to determine the working procedures of the administration and the armed forces held at the Divisional Commissioner’s office on Tuesday.
 Chittagong Corps members of the army have taken to the civil administration to help prevent the virus transmission. They petrolled the streets of the city and district under the leadership of the district magistrate’s executive magistrates. Additional district magistrate Badiul Alam said the army members have taken to the civil administration to assist civil administration in the area of In Aid to Civil Power.  He said that a maximum of 8 to at least two teams of the army, headed by the Upazila Executive Officers (UNO), would work in the field. The required number of army teams under the leadership of the executive magistrates in the city will work in the field. The City Corporation is assisting in this work.
 In the city, five army teams have taken to the field. Army members are working in the field under the leadership of executive magistrates in the port, Bayazid, Kotwali-Panchlaish, Chandgaon-Baklia, Khulshi and Agrabad-Doublemuring areas.Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Elias Hossain said that the army would ensure that no more people could be assembled in any place, more than 3-5 people could not be assembled, and that those who were in urgent need to walk a certain distance.
