Noble Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus warned that the coronavirus might assume alarming proportions in Bangladesh.
The Noble Laureate expressed his opinion over the fast-spreading coronavirus through a column.
In order to stem the spread of the viral disease, the most important thing is test. All suspected people should be tested. The World Health Organization (WHO) has been repeatedly advising to test, identify and isolate, Dr Yunus said.
This is very simple. If we want to save our feet from dirt, we should clean the dirt from the country or wear shoes. If we can isolate the coronavirus-positive patients, we can save many lives, said the Noble Laureate.
We should try our level best to test the infected people. Then they have to be isolated. We have to make the best use of our testing kits. We cannot play down the importance of test. There is no alternative to test,” Dr Yunus said.
