Sharp rise has been noticed in prices of various vegetables over the course of the week. Though onion price have experienced a downward trend, other vegetables are still pricy. Onions price have reduced 40 taka per kg. In contrast, cucurbit, bitter gourd, tomato, cucumber, carrot, turnip, cauliflower, cabbage, eggplant, radish prices are up. Bitter gourd is 100-120 taka per kg, cucurbit is 60-100 based on its size, cucumber and papaya 30-50 taka per kg, ripe tomatoes 40-6- taka per kg, raw papaya 30-50 taka.
Eggplant, radish and raw chili have experienced an upward trend. Last week radish was 20-25 taka per kg but this week it is 30-35 taka per kg. Eggplant was 40-5- taka kg, now it is 20-30 taka kg and raw chilies are 20-30 taka kg.
On the other hand, cotton fish 230-500 taka per kg, Tilapia 130-170 taka per kg, Horn fish 400-450 taka per kg, cold fish 400-750 taka per kg, Pabda 400-500 taka per kg.
Broiler chicken 125-130 taka per kg, Pakistani chicken 230-240 taka and re layer 200-220 taka per kg. Beef and goat meat are 550-570 & 700-850 taka per kg respectively. Over the course of the week fish and meat price is unchanged.
