 In the video captured by China Daily, Bangladeshi Ambassador to China, Mahbub Uz Zaman said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the government of the People’s Republic of China and the people as they are relentlessly struggling to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. We have confidence in the ability of the government of China to contain it and prevent further outbreak.”  The ambassador added, “Our honorable foreign minister, on behalf of our government, has sent the message to his counterpart in China and conveyed deep condolences for the loss of lives and sympathies to the member of the families,” reports The Business Standard.
 Meanwhile, China has called on Chittagong Customs to provide efficient customs clearance facilitation for imports from China and ensuring safety of export inspection and quarantine of goods to promote bilateral trade in this “emergency” period.
 “We hope that both sides will continue to maintain sound trade exchanges in goods and services,” said the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka in a media release urging the Bangladeshi businessmen to believe in China.
