The price of Baghair fish weighing 72 kgs was stagnant at Tk 1,30000 at the traditional fair in Bogra, reports jagonews24.com.
Yesterday, a crowd of enthusiastic buyers surrounded the fish which was caught from the Jamuna River. The merchant named Biplob bought the fish from a fisherman called Mainul to sale at the fair. Though the fish was caught three months ago from Jamuna, but it was kept alive in a special arrangement by making a quartet of water.
Besides, one of the attractions of the fair is different kind of sweets, including a fish-shaped sweet weighing 10kgs.
Poradoho Mela is an ancient folk fair held in the northern part of the country, in Bogra district.
Thousands of people gathered at the fair from the district city and its surrounding areas yesterday morning. Legislators have also taken stringent security measures to make the fair and orderly.
