DOT Desk: The Mujibnagar government’s 32 employees have been recognized as Freedom Fighters. Three of them are from Lalmonirhat, reports Daily Bangladesh.
According to the decision of the 65th meeting of the National Liberation War Council, the Gazette has recently been published recognizing them as freedom fighters.
The Mujibnagar government’s 670 employees including these 32 have been recognized as freedom fighters. Lalmonirhat’s newly recognized three freedom fighters are – Rafiqul Islam Basunia and Kazi Faizul Bari of Patgram Upazila and Md. Abdul Jalil Pramanik of Hatibandha Upazila.
During the liberation war on April 10, 1971, the provisional government of Bangladesh or the Mujibnagar government was formed.
Lalmonirhat district Freedom Fighter Commander Mezbah Uddin told Daily Bangladesh that the present government has given the recognition to the three employees of the Mujibnagar government showing proper honor.
