DOT Desk: Dhaka Platoon right-arm seamer Hasan Mahmud is having a great time with the ball in his maiden Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 tournament, and the youngster said he wants to maintain his form till the end of the competition, reports Dhaka Tribune.
The 20-year old Hasan has taken nine wickets in as many matches so far, and his latest heroics Friday against Khulna Tigers at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium propelled Dhaka to the top of the seven-team points table.
The lad from Laxmipur bagged four wickets in his quota of four overs, conceding 32 runs, and his scalps included prolific Khulna scorers in the competition Mushfiqur Rahim and Rilee Rossouw.
“Rossouw’s wicket was best among the four. Obviously it was the best delivery. My plan was to bowl stump to stump against Rossouw because he plays the outside deliveries well,” said Hasan to the media.“It is tough to bowl against Mushfiq bhai. He almost plays like 360. The plan was to bowl wide yorker to him and place three fielders outside. Later, he got out from a low full toss. So I tried to do something different to him.
“It’s going well for me in BPL so far. This is my first time so a bit excited. But I am playing in a very good team. There are many national team players in the team – Mashrafe [bin Mortaza] bhai, Tamim [Iqbal] bhai, Mominul [Haque] bhai.”
