Bangladesh women cricket team beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets yesterday during their first game of South Asian Games Women’s Cricket Competition at Pokhara, Nepal.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first. Sri Lanka post 122 runs on the scoreboard with Umesha Thimashini’s 56 run innings. Nahida Akhter took four wickets for Bangladesh conceding 32 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh reached to the target by loosing just three wickets in 18.3 overs. Sanjida Rahman was unbeaten on 51 off 45 deliveries with eight boundaries.
Bangladesh women’s team will play host Nepal on December 4 and the Maldives on December 5, both at Pokhara Stadium.
