Ridwan Ahmed Siam, a college student, has been missing for three days after leaving his residence for a coaching center in Chittagong city. Police have learned that he has been an organizer of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir. Siam has also been named in the list of accused in a case filed in Kotwali police station against 15 Hizb ut-Tahrir people in Chittagong.
Ridwan Ahmed Siam (17) is the son of Tofail Ahmed of Naujawan Sardar house in Charampur village of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district. Their home is next to the city’s Bayazid Bostami police station. Siam is a student of Haji Muhammad Mohsin College.
Deputy Commissioner (South) of the city police, SM Mehedi Hasan said, “A GD was filed at Chawkbazar police station on November 30 in relation to the disappearance of Ridwan Ahmed Siam. We have been trying to find him ever since. In this we learn that the missing Siam is associated with Hizb ut Tahrir. He is a fugitive accused in one of our cases. His movements were under police surveillance. In the meantime we are investigating his sudden disappearance”, reports Sarabangla.
