As a deep depression intensified into cyclonic storm Bulbul, maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisting distant warning signal number three, reports UNB.
The cyclonic storm may intensify more converting into severe cyclonic storm within next 24 hours and head for Bangladesh, India Meteorological Department said, Mint reports.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in a special bulletin that the cyclone was was centred about 865 km south-southwest of chattogram port, 795 km south-southwest of cox’s bazar port, 830 km south of mongla port and 790 km south of payraport.
All the fishing boats and trawlers have been advice to remain close to the coast as the sea will remain very rough near the cyclone centre.
According to weather forecaster Skymet the likely storm Bulbul may make landfall somewhere between Sagar Island, Odisha, West bengal and near close proximity to Bangladesh on November 10 Sunday, reports Scroll.in.
