A convoy of 20 member delegation team Meghalaya government comprising three ministers, officials tour operators led by Cheif Miniter Conrad K Sangma entered Bangladesh on Tuesday in an aim to explore trade opportunities in sectors like agriculture, horticulture, tourism with Bangladesh, reports Deccan Herald.
The team Tuesday began a 800 kms long trip started from Shilong, Meghalaya’s capital. They entered Bangladesh through Dawki border and met Sylhet Chamber of Commerce in Sylhet.
Bangladesh India trade at present stands at 10 million dollar abut Meghalaya’s share in this sector is a meager 7% despite we share a long 443 km borders with this neighboring country. So definitely, we are losing something out there, he added.
