DOT Desk: The 5th edition of the Dhaka International Folk festival will begin at Bangladesh Army Stadium in the capital on November 14, reports Daily Sun. The three-day festival will take place every day from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am. More than 200 artistes from six countries, including Bangladesh, will perform in Asia’s biggest folk festival. Folk music maestros Shah Alam Sarkar, Fakir Shahabuddin, Chandana Majumdar, Kajol Dewan, Malek Kawal, along with Kamruzzaman Rabbi and Shafikul Islam (Bauliana) and dance group Prema and Bhabna Nritya Dol will perform from Bangladesh. Renowned artistes Daler Mehndi from India; Junoon and Hina Nasrullah from Pakistan, Sattuma from Russia, Chveneburebi from Georgia, Habib Koité and Bamada from Mali will join the festival.
Prema and Bhabna Nritya Dol, Shah Alam Sarkar from Bangladesh, Chveneburebi from Georgia and Daler Mehndi from India will perform on the first day of the festival.
On the second day, Rabbi and Shafikul, Malek Kawal, Fakir Shahabuddin from Bangladesh, Hina Nasrullah from Pakistan and Habib Koité and Bamada from Mali will entertain the audience.
And on the final day, Bangladeshi singers Kajol Dewan, Chandana Majumdar, Russian singer Sattuma and Pakistani singer Junoon will perform at the gala event.
