The newly nationalized teachers demanded the immediate gazette registration of head teachers working in primary schools, in a human chain organized in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday, reports Jagonews24.
The teachers participating in the human chain said, “Due to bureaucratic complications, nearly 5,000 head teachers of nationalized primary schools could not be gazetted. On January 26, 2013 the announcement to nationalize 26,193 primary schools had been made. At the same time, for each school the creation of posts of 4 Assistant Teachers and 1HeadTeacher was announced, according to which 26,193head teacher posts should have been created. Instead, 17-18 thousand posts were included in the gazette. There have been numerous meeting as well as assurances regarding the deprived teachers since 2013, in spite of all this they were still listed as assistant teachers in the gazette.”
They demanded the immediate inclusion of thedisadvantaged Head Teachers in the gazette. At the same time, they demanded the promotion of Assistant Teachers bygrading by 50 percent effective job done in all fields and that all facilities including should be arranged within a time scale.
