Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to join up the ongoing Caribbean Premier League after he recently received No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) which allows him to participate even in the T20 competition for Barbados Tridents, informed by BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury, reports Cric Buzz. BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told yesterday that they have given the NOC to the skipper to join the franchise-based Twenty20 tournament and are expecting him to be available before the preparation camp for the upcoming tour of India, for the Trination series scheduled in November comprising three Twenty20 Internationals and two Tests. “We have given him the NOC to take part in the CPL and hope he will be available before the preparation for the series against India though we are yet to finalize the date of his return,” informed Akram, reports The Daily Star. The ace all-rounder has faced Afghanistan in the final of the T20 tri-series and is expected to leave for the Caribbean withinb two days. The 32-year-old all-rounder had missed the last season due to injury and was subsequently substituted by Australian former Captain Steve Smith. Bangladesh is set to play three T20Is and two Tests in India. Shakib will be joining Jason Holder-led Barbados who has already won two matches within six matches so far.
