A new squad has been announced yesterday by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the 3rd and 4th matches of the ongoing tri-nation T20 series. Left-handed batsman and fast-medium bowler Soumya Sarkar along with right-arm pacer Yasir Arafat Mishu have been excluded while pacers Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam made the cut after sitting out the first two games. Left-hander Nazmul Hossain Shanto has replaced Soumya and is yet to make his T20 debut. Others who made it to the new squad are Nayeem Sheikh and Aminul Biplob while Mahedi Hasan also faced an exit, reports The Daily Star.
The Tigers are set to take on Zimbabwe on 18th September at Chattogram after a humiliating defeat against Afghanistan on Sunday.
The squad includes Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Liton Kumar Das, Afif Hossain, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nayeem Sheikh, Aminul Biplob, Nazmul Hossain Shanto.
