BSS: Professional leaders and social watchdogs at a meeting mentioned concerted effort of all government and non-government entities concerned has become crucial to protect consumers rights for ensuring sound public health. They also observed that the issue of the consumers rights is well accepted throughout the world and in the free market economy. So, there is an urgent need of bringing all the businessmen and others concerned under the awareness programme in this regard. representation, but we are deprived of such privileges.
Unsafe food has been adjudged as a major threat to public health in
Bangladesh, so emphasis should be given to adopting effective measures in
this regard, he added.
Prof Azam identically mentioned that all sorts of unsafe foods like
adulterated and contaminated ones are injurious to public health. So, there
