A Supreme Court lawyer has sent a legal notice to the mayor and chief executive officer of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) for compensation of Tk 50 lakh for his wife’s dengue, reports Sarabangla.net.
Yesterday, the SC lawyer Tanzim Al Islam sent the notice by the registry post.
It is said in the notice, “On June 29, my wife was admitted to the hospital after suffering from dengue. Afterwards, she was slightly cured after five days with the hospital’s treatment. Since the South City Corporation is completely unsuccessful in destroying the Aedes mosquito, they have to take responsibility for it.”
The legal notice was sent to the mayor and chief executive officer of the DSCC for this reason.
Along with the compensation, the ward no 1, Khilgaon will have to take effective steps to eradicate mosquitoes in the next three days; demanded the lawyer.
If they’ll not agree with the demands then in view of these demands, the lawyer will move to the high court against the defendants in accordance with the Tort Law.
