Militants are targeting law enforcement agencies, says IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari said that militants are targeting law enforcement agencies. That’s why tightened security measures have been taken across the country. The IGP made these remarks while addressing a programme at police headquarters in the capital yesterday.
He said, “Militants are following ‘lone wolf’ attack method across the world. Single attack tendency has 8More on increased which is almost tough to tackle.”
“The activities of militants are under control. However, it was not possible to uproot militancy. People have become alert after Holey Artisan attack,” he said.
Crime Reporters’ Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) president Abul Khayer, general secretary Dipu Sarwar, vice president Mizan Malik, organizing secretary Rashed Nizam, Additional IGP (HRM) Md Shafikul Islam, DIG (Operations) Barrister Mahbubur Rahman and others attended the function.
