Due to visa crisis, Sabina Khatun, Captain of Bangladesh Woman Football Team could not play the Chinese Taipei League. Expecting the Taipei League, she refused India’s Sethu FCS’s offer. Naturally, the captain of the Bangladesh women’s football team was suffering from frustration due to lose those tow lucrative offers. Meanwhile, on Sunday night there was good news for Sabina from India, she will the team in the foreign quota with Indian Football League’s big club Gokulam Kerala FC.
Gokulam Club of Kerala state has formed the team where Sabina will play. The team formed aiming to win the championship this year. They started the league with a 5-0 win against Rising Student Club yesterday. Sabina signed the contract with the club for one month. The 12-team tournament will end on May 22.
Sabina is the first player who has been included with the Indian Women’s league. 7 out of 11 goals from Tamil Nadu team come from Sabina’s legs. “As I am going join with the team lately, I have to proof myself as Most of the Gokulam players are from the Indian national team.” Said Sabina.
