Nobel sings playback for ‘Vinci Da’
DOT Desk: Bangladesh’s Mainul Ahsan Nobel has created quite a sensation, singing in India’s Zee Bangla TV reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’.
He has shot to the top of popularity both in West Bengal and back home in Bangladesh. His performance in the singing contest has gone viral on social media, with the judges more than impressed by his performances every week, reports The Prothom Alo.
And now there’s another feather in his cap. He has recently sung playback for a Bangla movie in Kolkata, ‘Vinci Da’, directed by the renowned Srijit Mukherjee.
The music and the lyrics of the song have been composed by Anupam Roy, another popular artiste of the Kolkata music scene. Director Srijit Mukherjee and others are not ready to reveal anything about the film’s music at the moment.
However, Srijit has praised Nobel, saying, “He has a good voice. I like his singing a lot.”
Nobel too has opted for silence about the playback stint, “I can’t say anything now. I will talk about it in due time.”
Filming of ‘Vinci Da’ is complete and the movie is set for release either in April of June this year. This will then probably be Nobel’s debut playback performance.
