Dhaka city is well known for terrific traffic jam around the world. People are killing their valuable time in the jam hour to hour. People never predict whenever they can reach their right destination. There is little proper judicial statement for road transporting system. The little statements are also smartly denying our cunning personalities. As an example we can recall the strike of students few days before. They open the eyes of law enforcement authority. Is the law enforcement authority still aware about the traffic law? Students teach the authority how to control the traffic system and reversethey make awareness between transport stakeholders and general people as well.
We are living in the era of globalization. What is happening around the world? People are getting the information within few minutes. The happening things like in the cities of USA, Dubai& Germany etc.people8More on Page 7, Col
(From Page 8) are reaching their destination among few minutes.Technologies help us to get the news. Bangladeshi people also want to get those kinds of transportation system.People are trying to get rid of the horrific situation.
There are many reasons for the traffic jam. Such as density of population, scarcity of well fit vehicle, road infrastructure, centralized empowerment official system, illegal parking system, increasing the personal vehicle etc.Based on the information of fast forward countries, Bangladeshi people should not be frustrated. We should notice that few problems created by people by themselves. So people should willingly refrain themselves in few section like birth control, obey the traffic rules and help the traffic controller to do theirduty completely.Transportation authority should ensure thechecking and double checking system for every single part of the vehicles. The unfit vehicle can be stopped in the mid-way. Then the traffic jam must be severed.
Different countries have followed two systems for ruling their countries like centralization and decentralization. Bangladesh govt. has followed centralized ruling system. In centralized ruling system all officials headquarter must be in capital (Dhaka) city. For a single task people compel to come in Dhaka from remote region and gathering here. The total populations of 162,951,560 (according to Wikipedia) are living the tiny area. For getting approval of anything the whole number of people must be get touch on the specific divisions headquarter in Dhaka city. The pressure of whole countries’ people in the tiny city, it’s simple for happening terrific traffic jam.
Decentralization system should be implemented in govt. and non govt. high official activities. It can be the most influential step to reduce the traffic jam. The left related issues also should be considered. Otherwise it can be make a great fault and that fault caused the main traffic jam.
Government should focus on the traffic jam because it mostly dominates the whole department of progress. Not only people are killing their valuable time but also our economy killing its growth. Proper utilization of time ensures the productivity and the productivity directly connected with our economic growth. Without resolving traffic jam one nation never secure the progress. Centralization, density of population, traffic controlling system, road infrastructure system and the public awareness system must be improved to top up the Bangladesh in optimum level of progress.
